It's the Little Things...

I'm oh so excited because I made a little trip to my favorite fabric store "Material Girls Quilt Shop" in South Jordan on Friday. I happened to find (or I should say Bill agreed to let me use) a little money out of the grocery budget to get some fabric and pull me out of my depression. I'm going to make the same style blouse as I did for Easter just with short sleeves.

This is the pattern I'm using. Cute, huh?

...my Easter blouse

...and this is the new fabric--picture it with short sleeves. I really liked the fabric in the store, but now I'm not so sure AND it's not like a regular blouse that I could take back for an exchange. Just tell me you love it so I can stop obsessing about it will ya??
To top everything off, the weather is gorgeous and I can finally go walking with Sophie and work in the yard a little bit this week. It makes me so happy!
How could things get any better...I have a sewing project AND I can go outside!! It's the little things in life, isn't it?

I really like the new fabric Andrea! Very cute! And I am still impressed you can sew. Love the shirt and love that you spent your grocery money on more fabric. Who needs to eat, right?

I have really gotten into sewing lately and I wished we lived closer so that we could sew together and you could teach me all the tricks! I really do like the fabric you got for the new blouse, it just fits you perfectly.

Since when the heck did you become Laura Ingalls? AND now you also keep a budget? Who are you and what have you done to Andrea?

Serious. I'm more than impressed. Those shirts are darling and I love, LOVE the fabric. Can't wait to see the after pics.
