When Bill and I built the house seven years ago I wanted all warm colors--reds, golds, neutrals and dark carpet. Well, my friends, those days are over as you can see in the before and after pics below.
I am loving blue these days!!! If you would've told me that seven years ago I would've told you that you were crazy! I HATED blue! But, things change and I LOVE my walls--so much so I'm doing the kitchen with this same color! What do you think? I would love to hear your opinions of the change!

Isn't is so funny how the "in" color schemes today are totally opposite from what was in just 5 or so yrs ago? I was thinking about your new rug in the entry way just this morning (don't ask why my mind wandered to your home decor), and I got so excited! It's going to all come together so well. And your newly painted pie hutch (even though you don't make pies) looks fab against the blue walls. Oooh. Loving it!!!

it is like a clear blue sky in the middle of your home. i love that you are taking chances with color, it doesn't seem to work so well for me! i can't wait to see it all in person

Hi there!!! Look at your cute family! I can't believe I haven't been visiting your darling blog all this time. Love the pictures and updates. I am in total need of your decorating daring-do! That blue really does look fab. Way to go. Say hi to Bill for us and say hi especially to Jake from Clint. Clint can't stop thinking about how sad it is that Jake didn't get to go to the Ute game! :) I think he would have cried, himself.
I love pretty much any blue but smurf blue. It brightens up a room instantly. I also love the warm colors, but pale colors can also mix well with warm colors, if you know how to do it! And I think you do! Looks awesome!
