School Days (Part 2)

This is Sophie. We call her our little nugget. Why? No idea.

She started big girl preschool yesterday (sniff) and boy was she ever excited! I had her enrolled at a local elementary school, but when we went to visit and meet the teachers on Tuesday, I had the strong feeling that school wasn't for us. Wednesday I visited a little private preschool which usually has a long waiting list, but I thought I would give it a try to get her in. To my surprise they had an opening on the day and time that I wanted! It was meant to be. It's about the cutest school ever with darling teachers. So, eventhough it was hard to see her go yesterday I knew she was in great hands and as expected she had a wonderful time. She even learned her first number...1.

She's brilliant.

She wanted her ponytail showing in the pics, hence the profile shots.

I also realized when I posted all of the first days of school pictures for Jake and Abby I didn't post any preschool shots...so here are their first and second years of preschool.

Ah, good times. It's a good thing that it's just the kids and not me who are growing older.

I love that she wanted a side shot of her ponytail! So funny!

And love the shot of the twins hugging.

That cute little Sophie. Love her and her little ponytail. I'm so glad your preschool decision worked out well. Same thing happened to me last year with Avie's preschool - just had a gut feeling and made a last minute change which turned out to be such a good thing.

You were inspired on the pre-school and it's going to be a great year I'm sure. Sophie is such a doll I can hardly stand it! I am impressed that you can pull up all the past "first day of school" photos. You must be very organized.

I love that story of her preschool. She's for sure where she's supposed to be. Makes me happy.

And her wanting a side-pic of her ponytail? Killing me. So funny!

When the crap are we ever going to see each other again?

What a cutie! My oldest just started Kindergarten. I wish our kids would listen to us when we tell them to stop growing! :)
Love the pics of your twins. Being a twin myself, I have many pics like those - first day of school, hand in hand with my twin sis! Hopefully they're best of friends!

big girl sophie growing up on you and going to school! it feels like you were just pregnant with her, seriously! now she might as well pack up and head to college.

the twins picture makes me want to cry. they look the EXACT same, just smooshed smaller versions of themselves.

Andrea--I just had to stop by and tell you your comment about my eye makeup cracked me up. My sister's name is also Andrea and until I looked at your profile, I thought it was her just being funny :)

Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog. You have a beautiful family!

P.S. I didn't realized Sophie looks so much like Abby at that age. Now, Abby is a mature 12 year old!!! Be glad it's not 12 years ago today!!!
